The number of bitcoin addresses in the last decade has largely seen a linear growth model. According to Glassnode news portal, there are currently 784,149 btc addresses that have at least one coin.
BTC owners are growing
Alex Gedevani on Twitter shared a post that showed a bitcoin address graph. At first glance it is clear that since 2010 the curve has grown linearly in strength.
Cryptanalysts point to a rising trend as evidence of Bitcoin’s strength, despite critics who often argue otherwise. The total number of bitcoin addresses may not always equal the number of bitcoin investors.
According to a news portal report, there are more than twice the number of addresses with more than one BTC coin than at the beginning of 2015. It also increased year-on-year by almost 11% from 707,000 to 784 147 at the beginning of the year.
The number of addresses held between 0.1 and 1 BTC increased by the same percentage between 2019 and early 2020. It is important to note that one person can hold a large number of BTCs at different addresses.
Summary
Reporting the linear upward trend of the owners of at least one BTC coin is a clear indication that the cryptocurrency is definitely not dead, as some media claim. We can expect the same model in the future.
