Co – founder of Fundstrat and strategist from Wall Street, Tom Lee, revealed his expectations about Bitcoin by the end of the year.
Lee revealed that he has high expectations of the digital asset. He believes that by the end of the year he will reach $ 100,000. Lee added that the value of the asset could reach up to 168,000 USD this year.
Lee has always been optimistic about cryptocurrencies. He said earlier that he expects BTC to reach $ 100,000 this year. Now Lee seems to have almost doubled his May forecast.
The co-founder also explained the factors influencing his digital asset price forecasts.
Lee explains that the newly approved futures ETF will allow more individuals to allocate part of their investment portfolio to cryptocurrencies, “leading to a significant inflow of new investment.”
Wall Street: BTC for $ 100,000
BTC at $ 100,000 is an increasingly popular forecast among leading market players. Although market assets fell sharply in September, most still held on to their forecast of $ 100,000 by the end of the year.
Not surprisingly, Lee is not the only major figure to predict a similar value for the fourth quarter of 2021. For example, Anthony Scaramucci, CEO of Skybridge Capital, said the asset would reach $ 100,000, pointing out that with a worldwide increase in acceptance the BTC value will increase with it.
On the contrary, Fidelity analyst Jurrien Timmer told CNBC that BTC can achieve value $ 100,000, but in a much longer time horizon.
Whether BTC reaches $ 100,000 this year or any other, its worldwide acceptance is currently increasing, as is its price. Fans of cryptocurrencies therefore welcome such predictions with open arms. However, no one can predict the future, let alone predict the development of such a volatile market. Although it seems now that BTC will grow for a month, be careful and invest only as much as you can afford to lose.
