CowboyZombies: Shoot-to-Earn in the style of the Wild West

3 min read

The link between the digital currency industry and the gaming industry is one of the strongest. Of course, the cryptocurrencies’ view of the approach to gaming offers certain opportunities, typically with the Play-to-Earn model. However, it is starting to evolve and projects are now trying different approaches, such as the new Shoot-to-Earn from CowboyZombies.

What is CowboyZombies?

CowboyZombies is a Shoot-to-Earn game inspired by the TV series The Walking Dead and also the cooperative action horror film Left 4 Dead. The game allows players to take on the roles of cowboys and cowgirls and repel waves of zombies who (of course – as usual) try to eat them.

The project involved 7 well-known designers from around the world, who carefully created designs and graphics, and provided users with weapons and knives to fight. They provided players with 5 types of cowboys and 4 types of zombies as their enemies.

The game is still under development and the project itself is also extremely young. In fact, it is just about to hold a pre-sale in early October. Despite its youth, however, it quickly attracts attention thanks to its unique gameplay, which is unlike anything the market currently offers.

CowboyZombies Roadmap

The project has a well-developed roadmap, which is divided into several phases. Phase 1 is to bring about smart contract audits, social media launches, a whitelist competition, project website development and game testing, which includes activities that have mostly been completed so far.

The second half of phase 1 has yet to be completed, probably in the coming weeks. These include pre-sales on DxSale, an extensive marketing campaign, launches on PancakeSwap, launches on the NFT Zombie Battle and NFT Cowboy Marketplace, as well as browsing on Coingecko and CoinMarketCap.

Then Phase 2 will begin, probably sometime in early 2022, which will bring another audit of smart contracts, this time by CertiK, to increase the legitimacy of the project.

Then the project will release a new wave of NFT characters, introduce NFT farming, Cowboy Farming, and expand its team and increase the number of developers. Phase 2 should end with a major marketing campaign in China that uses influencers to disseminate information.

Finally, in phase 3, the project will collaborate with Game Studio on mobile game development, CEX launch, mobile game launch and worldwide marketing campaign.

Shoot-to-Earn

CowboyZombies appears as a very unique zombie-inspired game that will combine an interesting approach to earnings with fun while playing and zombies as one of the most iconic monsters / enemies in the game world. The project itself seems to be well planned, its goal is to rely heavily on the NFT, but also to deliver a mobile game to increase its reach in the gaming community.

Most importantly, it will use the Shoot-to-Earn model, which means users are likely to be motivated and rewarded for playing, which naturally opens up new possibilities for cryptocurrency players – a group that is growing rapidly with projects like this.

Conclusion

Overall, it will be interesting to see how this project develops in the coming months and years, so it is definitely worth watching. Yee Haw!
