Zermatt in Switzerland will receive taxes and fees in Bitcoin
Zermatt, a municipality in Switzerland and a popular tourist resort, in cooperation with Bitcoin Suisse; today announced that it accepts bitcoins (BTC) as a means of payment. This applies to taxes and official payments with immediate effect. Bitcoin Suisse installed a point-of-sale (POS) solution at the Zermatt town hall, so service fees from local authorities can be paid in bitcoins. In addition to access to POS facilities at Zermatt’s town hall, taxpayers will also be able to pay their taxes at the municipal level using bitcoins. Bitcoin Suisse, based in Zug, is the oldest and largest cryptographic company in Switzerland.
BAKKT has not recorded any trades in the last 10 days

Former member of CFTC became CEO of futures exchange
Mark Wetjen, former acting chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), is the new CEO of the Miami International Futures Exchange (MIAX) and executive vice president of the Miami International Holdings (MIH) parent company. According to a press release, Wetjen will be working on future and innovative products – including cryptoderivatives – and will act as regulatory advisor to MIH.
