The updated CCID (China Electronics Information Industry Development Research Institute) ranking, the index of the best blockchains according to the Chinese R&D department, once again confirms EOS’s blockchain as the absolute best.

Rating CCID, EOS, the best blockchain according to China

The index takes into account several parameters:

  • Basic technology: examines the functionality, performance, security and degree of decentralization of the blockchain – determining from 64%;
  • Usability: focuses on node development, wallets, developer support and application deployment – accounts for 20%;
  • Creativity: focuses on constant innovation, code impact and code updates – 16%.

At the top is EOS with more than 146 points, followed by blockchain ETH with 144 points and IOST in third place with 132 points. Blockchains in the first five positions, with the exception of Ethereum at this time, use a consensus protocol of the PoS (Proof of Stake) type or otherwise derived from it. For example, EOS uses the Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) system.

BTC is out of the top 10 in 11th place with only 109 total points due to its protocol and restrictions that do not allow it to compete with more advanced blockchains such as ETH or EOS. At the end of the ranking, in the last place, we find BCN, blockchain Bytecoin. Its cryptocurrency didn’t shine much, losing 98% since its May 8, 2018 record of more than $ 0.03. It currently has a value of $ 0.0003.

IOTA (MIOTA) is in the penultimate position: the integration of smart contracts does not seem to have the desired effect, although the price has developed positively in recent months. At the penultimate position is HyperShare (HSR), a blockchain focused on privacy thanks to the use of zk-SNARK technology. The project was launched in 2017, but does not shine with popularity; in fact, its coin is not present on either CoinMarketCap or CoinGecko.

In the index of the best blockchains we can see that PoS is taking the lead. Interestingly, there are no blockchains like Polygon (MATIC), Solana (SOL) or even Binance Smart Chain (BSC), which according to the Chinese and the ministry do not seem interesting and are not worth watching.

EOS, ETH and IOST news

Recall that the EOS blockchain is about to launch the hybrid crypto exchange Bullish, which has a liquidity of up to $ 10 billion. It will record all transactions on the EOS blockchain. In addition, a beta version of the NFT platform, Voice, will be released, which will not only create NFT, but also integrate the ability to migrate NFT from EOS to Ethereum and vice versa.

Ethereum has updated the Beacon Chain, which is building another building block towards ETH 2.0.

Finally, at IOST, we recall the recent investment in the LABEL project, which will lead to the creation of an NFT ecosystem and the development of an educational platform through mass entertainment, the Massive Open Online Course (MOOC).
