EthCC[4] Returns to Paris This July to Reunite Blockchain Community

EthCC[4] is set to be one of the first events to bring back together members of the ETH community after a year of virtual conferences.

PARIS – 20 May 2021 – EthCC (ETH Community Conference), the largest annual European ETH conference created for the community, by the community, will return for EthCC[4] from the 20-22 July 2021 in Paris, France in the midst of a year of ETH all-time highs, the explosion of the NFT market and the Total Value Locked in Decentralized Finance (DeFi) reaching $172 billion.

“We are thrilled to be able to make our return and provide the community with a chance to reconnect after the tumultuous times that followed EthCC[3] in March 2020. This pause in the world saw the blockchain community build some industry-shaping technology and now, once again we have a chance to come together and continue to share our knowledge and educate one another on community developments,” said Jerome de Tychey, Founder and President of ETH France.

In the past year the technological advancements for ETH have been immense, internally with the successful launch of Eth2.0 in December 2020 and the approval of EIP-1559 to create deflationary ETH supply, and externally with the adoption of multiple layer 2 solutions, which have minimised transaction fees and optimised network speed.

There have also been huge in-roads in ETH adoption by mainstream finance, with Paypal introducing ETH as a payment option and Visa settling stablecoin transactions on the ETH blockchain.

Now, EthCC[4] will feature presentations and workshops on these developments as well as the outlook for the industry, led by renowned thought leaders in blockchain.

Headline speakers at this year’s event include Stani Kulechov, founder and CEO of Polygon-based protocol Aave; Tegan Kline, Business Lead at blockchain data indexer The Graph; Jordi Baylina, Technical Lead at ETH Layer 2 scaling solution Hermez, Adrian Brink, Founder of layer 1 blockchain network Anoma and many more.

Aave’s Stani Kulechov said, “the last EthCC was truly inspiring, I really enjoyed meeting new people and exploring new synergies. This is what the ETH community is about, and I am looking forward to being part of more EthCC’s in the future.”

Themes such as Decentralised Finance (DeFi), Security, Developer Tools, Enterprise, Eth 2.0, scaling solutions and more, serve to educate and inspire attendees on the developments from the ETH community.

The EthCC team is working closely with the venue, La Maison de la mutualité, to ensure that every possible measure will be taken to uphold social distancing and respect the COVID-19 regulations put in place by the French government.

EthCC[4] will also provide the opportunity for vetted startups to pitch in front of top VCs such as  Althemis, Point9 Capital, Kima Ventures, and BPI through the EthVC program.

“EthVC, the ‘VC’ track of the conference, successfully brought together startups and investors over the 3-day event, aimed at enhancing connectivity and understanding between the two by providing a private, application-only VC track dedicated to this. We are delighted to host this again in 2021!” said Ambre Soubiran, CEO of Kaiko.

YAP Global, an international PR agency specialized in blockchain, cryptocurrency, and fintech communications, will also be returning as the official PR partner for EthCC[4].

“Physical conferences and events are essential in breathing life into this tight-knit global ETH community so we are thrilled to be supporting the EthCC team for this much-needed reunion away from video conference calls,” said Samantha Yap, Founder & CEO of YAP Global.
