2 min read

The fast food chain Burger King has teamed up with Robinhood to distribute cryptocurrencies to its customers for free, a compelling sign that the appetite for digital assets is growing.

From November 1 to November 21, Burger King customers in the United States who spend $ 5 or more will receive a free crypto, primarily in the form of Dogecoin, the company announced on Monday. Several lucky customers will have the opportunity to win all BTC or ETH. To receive the reward, users must register on the Robinhood Crypto platform.

To be rewarded, users must make a purchase in the BK app, on the web, or in a store using code at participating sites.

Cryptocurrency rewards will be drawn from a total prize pool of 2 million DOGE, 20 BTC and 200 ETH. Customers can only claim one price per day.

Fast food and NFT

From a business standpoint, cryptocurrencies are becoming too large to ignore, with several corporations experimenting with digital assets and nonfungible tokens (NFT). The fast food sector was particularly accommodating, with Burger King, McDonald’s, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell launching their own NFT collections. NFTs are thus becoming an important marketing medium for large brands.

Dogecoin has also been assisted in recruiting new users to the cryptocurrency market. Memecoin experienced a parabolic increase in the first five months of the year, creating thousands of new millionaires during the process. Memecoin hype has since moved to Shiba Inu (SHIB), which has recently reached a new all-time high.

Recently, we can observe how coins that no one would have thought could survive the first year are experiencing a great increase in popularity and acceptance in many sectors of everyday life.
