Gala Games calls community for vote for Betwixt

The Gala Games network node owners will vote on whether the Betwixt game will join the games network. The developer, Mind Monsters Games, hopes to release an early-access alpha version in early 2022.
Betwixt is a play-to-thrive game where the generative art evolves based on the player’s choices during the adventure. The central theme of the game is mental health. In addition to the game, there will be generative NFT artworks that change based on the player’s actions in the game. Gala Games considers this one of the game’s innovative blockchain features.
Currently, Betwixt does not have any play-to-earn mechanics attached to it, but adding a token and game-specific nodes are some of the options to support and grow Betwixt in the future. For now, node operators will receive a percentage of the PFP artwork, distributed randomly.
The owners of us will vote whether Mind Monsters Games receives $1 million in funding to develop Betwixt. This would be the second game to receive $1 million in funding. Earlier this month, we already mentioned FASTR, an upcoming tactical shooter. Gala Games has a $100 million Game Development Fund to support these types of projects. Voting will be launched soon, will take three days and will be decided by majority vote.
GALA could become exclusive
Gala Games considers making its NFTs exclusive to those who pay using their native GALA token. Currently, Gala Games allows users to purchase NFTs in their ecosystem using ETH, BAT and their own native GALA token. However, the company considers making GALA the single currency for all NFT sales in the Gala Games ecosystem.
In September, Gala Games announced a renewed pricing system for its Founder’s Nodes, an independent, community-run blockchain. Instead of a $100 price increase for every 100 nodes sold, effective October 1st the price will increase $500 for every 100 nodes sold. However, the maximum price someone will pay for a node would be $100,000. However, users will only be able to purchase these nodes using the GALA token.
Internally, Gala Games already has discussions on how to make this change effective across the ecosystem. This would make GALA the unique token for all games across the entire Gala Games ecosystem, which includes Town Star, Mirandus, Echoes of Empire, Spider Tanks and perhaps very soon Betwixt as well.
