Google announced another “cleaning” in its store for the Android mobile platform.
Specifically, around 600 apps have been removed from the Play Store that violated ad serving and ad serving policies in various ways.Respectively commercial content.
The company used a new machine learning AI mechanism to identify “sinners”. It should better identify the various hidden advertising tricks for users that developers put in their software products.
These were typically projects that showed ads to users in a way they didn’t expect it at all, or ads that were shown out of context. Some even showed banners even when users were not actively working with it.
Examples include suddenly showing ads during voice calls or during the phone unlocking process. Sometimes they were even full screen ads. Google also added that it plans to continue detecting similar applications in the future.
