How to Cancel Paramount Plus Subscription on Apple TV
2 min readNow that Paramount Plus has been here a couple of weeks, folks have pretty much made up their minds about the service. Some love it, and some don’t. So, if you’re going to cancel your Paramount Plus subscription on your Apple TV, we’re here to help you out.
As the service launched, Paramount Plus promised a lot of content to top off what CBS All Access already had to offer – content from Paramount Network, BET, Comedy Central, MTV, Smithsonian Channel, as well as Paramount Pictures. What they ultimately offered fell short of the hype, although they are just starting out, so we need to give them some leeway here.
Nonetheless, those who are canceling their accounts can do so already, and it’s really not that difficult.
Here’s how you can cancel your Paramount Plus subscription via Apple TV:
- First, power up your Apple TV.
- Open the Settings app.
- From there, go to Users & Accounts and choose your account.
- Navigate to Subscription from there.
- Pick the Paramount Plus subscription from the list and then select ‘Cancel Subscription.’
If you’re using an older version of Apple TV, you can unsubscribe through an iOS device, whether an iPhone or an iPad, and you can check the exact instructions here. Also, you can cancel your subscription on the Paramount+ website, regardless of whether it’s a Mac or running on Windows.
Of course, the above-mentioned guide is valid if you subscribed via iTunes, which, let’s face it, is rather likely. However, if you went through a different service, you will need to go that route. You’ll find the details about what service you subscribed through in your Paramount Plus account.
Go to Paramount Plus, go to your Account, and in the Subscription & Billing section, you’ll find the name of the service you subscribed through. Your options are iTunes, Google Play, Amazon, or Roku, as well as directly through Paramount Plus.
Either way, once you tap on the option offered in that window, you’ll get directed to the service you need to be on in order to cancel your subscription.
