Illuvium: Zero Land Sale is approaching

With five unanimous votes from the Illuvium Council, the IIP-20 proposal was approved in late April, setting the parameters for the next Illuvium: Zero land sale.

According to the project’s developer team, after the DAO board decided on the sale, the date of the first land sale was set for the June 2nd at 09:00 UTC.

“Illuvium: Zero” exists in the same world as “Illuvium Overworld” (the creature capture and battle game). However, it’s unclear how much interaction there will be between the games.

Furthermore, investors need to be aware that “Illuvium: Zero” is an integral part of the famous “Illivium”. However, it is a new minigame that will probably be integrated into the main game bringing new gameplay to the game.

As highlighted in a statement, “Illuvium: Zero” is a city builder focused on plot development, resource production and building upgrades.

There is also the creation of NFT skins for Illuvium, implying functionality between this and the main Overworld game, but without providing much detail.

With only 100 thousand lands in the game, the proposal foresees the sale of 20 thousand of them during this first stage that will last three days.

After the start of the auction, new land is gradually released, each sale batch contains 278 plots and is two hours long.

Illuvinium: Zero land sale

This sale uses what the Illuvium team calls a descending price model, with the price of lots decreasing by 2.5% every minute. This leads to an estimated price reduction of around 30% after one hour.

Lands are generative NFTs and minted in IMX after purchase. Plot details include Element Locations, Fuel Locations, and Landmarks. The type of Sites and Landmarks is randomly generated.

Within each tier, there will still be some variety and some parcels will be more valuable than others.

Two Tier 5 lots will be auctioned during a live streaming event on Twitch. Interested buyers can buy lots with ETH or sILV2 (earned by betting ILV on the official website). Meanwhile, Tier 5 auctions only accept ETH bids.

Tier 1 lands start at 2 ETH, while Tier 4 lands start at 80 ETH.

In the game, landowners earn income by producing fuel, which is used for all in-game transactions.

The team said it wants to provide many options and strategic decisions for players. From placing buildings (some work better together, some don’t) to managing resources to working the markets and researching Iluvials.

The story background for the mini-game is as follows:

You are a Valain reconnaissance drone, ejected off your ship before impact with a ruined alien planet. Your mission: build a secure base of operations on the planet, gathering as much intel as possible. You collect, mine, and process local resources to build generators, storage silos, research facilities, and other key structures and tools.

Energy scans and observations of strange phenomena hint that this is no ordinary planet.
