Jack Dorsey shows off his BTC clock to Congress

The founder of Twitter Jack Dorsey, a well-known bitcoiner, recently showed off his BTC clock

This image is in fact a screenshot from the video of the hearing held on Thursday in the US House of Representatives on the topic of disinformation.

In addition to Jack Dorsey, the hearing was also attended by the CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, and Google CEO Sundar Pichai.

Twitter has recently been very much involved in issues concerning misinformation, even going so far as to ban former President Donald Trump’s account indefinitely

Dorsey appeared at this hearing with his now usual very long beard, presumably logging on directly from his home.

In the background, there is a cupboard with dishes, a window and a table with a clock on it.

However, this is not actually a regular clock, but a so-called “BTC clock“, a device similar to a clock, but which shows up-to-date data concerning BTC

The data that Dorsey’s BTC clock shows is the number of the last block that was mined and added to the BTC blockchain, but in the course of the video conference, which lasts more than five and a half hours, it also shows other data.

It is highly unlikely that the BTC clock’s entry into the frame is entirely coincidental, and it is virtually certain that Dorsey was fully aware that he was showing it.

Indeed in another similar video, the BTC clock is not seen, probably because the framing is narrower.

At this point, it is safe to assume that Dorsey has voluntarily decided to enlarge the frame, perhaps in order to show the BTC clock.

The founder of Twitter is now not only a proud bitcoiner, but also a BTC evangelist to all intents and purposes, although he does so with a certain discretion. Together with Elon Musk, he is by far one of the most important BTC evangelists in the world today.
