Facebook, renamed Meta, lured over 140 employees from Microsoft and Apple to work on develop a metaverse.

According to a report by the Wall Street Journal, about 70 people who worked to create augmented reality glasses HoloLens 2 left Microsoft. More than 40 of them got jobs at Meta and began to develop the virtual world. Mark Zuckerberg seems to have seduced talented experts with high salaries.

Microsoft also became interested in the metaverse and founded the Vortex studio, which will create virtual worlds. The company has opened a vacancy for the position of senior designer, whose competence includes generating narrative design.
