Khabib Nurmagomedov has been making very interesting decisions since announcing his departure from MMA. What pleases the crypto community is that this time it enters the world of cryptocurrencies!

Khabib has embarked on a new journey

On October 24, 2020, an undefeated MMA fighter ended his famous career because he promised his mother that he would not continue in this sport without his late father.

Since then, Khabib has become a promoter and trainer of MMA. What interests us, crypto fans and crypto optimists, is that the legendary Khabib “The Eagle” Nurmagomedov has decided enter the world of cryptocurrencies, and even issued its own NFT token.

Khabib recently said on Instagram social network that became ambassador for GMT token. The Russian, and specifically the Dagestan fighter, described his cooperation with GMT and emphasizes how advanced he actually is.

From sport to cryptocurrencies – a new tradition?

“I’m glad to announce that today I’ve become the Ambassador of GMT token, the most advanced token in the world. There is no doubt that in 2021 technology has changed the world,” comments Khabib.

“Blockchain is as much a breakthrough as the Internet. I believe that in the near future, blockchain and bitcoin will replace the financial institutions we are used to and become the main payment system in the world.” he shares his opinion on Instagram.

But Khabib is not the first, and certainly not the last, athlete to decide to engage in the world of cryptocurrencies. In addition to the popular MMA fighter, more and more athletes, such as Stephen Curry, Naomi Osaka, Tom Brady, Micah Johnson deal with cryptocurrencies or NFTs.
