Mobox launches metaverse based on NFTs and mining in the Binance ecosystem and distributes mysterious boxes2 min read
The play-to-earn gaming ecosystem Mobox has announced the launch of the first phase of its “MoMoverse” metaverse on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC).
According to a post on Mobox’s blog, registrations for the game based on NFTs and mining were opened last Tuesday (30th). Since then, users can register for free and “play to win” anywhere.
The MoMoverse gaming universe thus becomes the first metaverse to integrate into the Binance ecosystem. Also, users can only access the game through the exchange app.
“A BIG announcement has been made and we are thrilled to be a part of the reveal – Mobox MoMoverse Phase One is being launched in the Binance ecosystem! With this launch, we’re also distributing 5,000 Mysterious Boxes valued at over $1,000,000 BUSD,” highlights the Mobox announcement.

In the ecosystem, avatars act as a personal node in the MOBOX chain. The MOBOXChain, which has not yet been released, is an NFT-based network that uses the proof-of-stake (PoS) mechanism. This network will be controlled and governed by the game’s own assets.
“The NFTs you collect will act as your node on MOBOX’s blockchain network, which will provide users with near-instant transactions. MOBOXChain will be released later. But the MOBOX platform during this period will continue to work on BSC (Binance Smart Chain).”
Also according to the announcement, after creating an account at MoMoverse, each player will receive a unique avatar. Players can mine MBOX token with their avatar and MBOX staking on mysterious boxes.
In practice, mysterious boxes contain MoMos that increase hashpower, allowing the player to extract even more MBOX tokens. The 5,000 Mysterious Boxes draw will take place on December 6th.
Also on December 6th, MoMoWorld Alpha will be launched, an environment where players will be able to test the features and play-to-earn economy. Through their interaction, users will be paid in MBOX tokens.
Finally, the developers also claim that once Alpha is completed, the official version will be released. This version will also feature an NFT market.
