Pre-orders for Solana’s new game console “Play Solana” begin
2 min readPlay Solana, a developer of a Web 3.0 gaming console based on the Solana (SOL) blockchain, a cryptocurrency (virtual currency), began accepting pre-orders for its new portable gaming console, the Play Solana Gen1 (PSG1), on the 24th.
Holders of the company’s non-fungible token (NFT) “Player1” can pre-order the device for 199 USD for 48 hours (or until sold out).
Payment can be made using USDC or credit card on Solana. Purchasers will receive a non-transferable NFT, the Soulbound PSG1 NFT.

“Play Solana” will be the first Web 3.0 gaming console on the Solana blockchain.
Its appearance resembles that of a Game Boy, and it features an integrated cryptocurrency wallet and blockchain technology.
On the 16th, the company launched an NFT called “Player 1” that will grant access to new products and special rewards.
The launch took place on leading NFT marketplace Magic Eden and sold out within minutes of launch.
Until now, the device has only been available to users who hold the NFT. Priority and whitelist sales have already been completed, and the device is now being sold in advance.
In the future, NFT art will be made public and a Discord chat will be opened exclusively for NFT holders and those who have pre-ordered the device.
Web3 game consoles are being launched one after another

The Bitcoin-based gaming console, BitBoy, has a Game Boy look just like the Play Solana, but also integrates cryptocurrency wallets and blockchain technology. It will cost $500.
In addition, the Sui-based game console “SuiPlay0x1” is a portable game console that can play Web 2.0 and Web 3.0 games.
On the 3rd, pre-orders began for the car’s release in 2025. The order price is $599 (approximately 87,000 yen), and those who pre-order will also receive limited bonuses.
