ShibaSwap developer Eric M. commented on the development of Shibarium, a long-awaited Layer 2 scaling solution, by writing “soon” in a Discord post.
Shibarium is coming soon
In early December, Eric M announced that the team would not have to wait for Ethereum 2.0, the major update of the second largest blockchain, to launch Shibarium. Also anonymous creator Ruoshi announced a Shiba Inu layer-2 solution contribution and Medium.
Bone ShibaSwap (BONE), the token administration of the decentralized ShibaSwap Exchange, will act as the main crunching platform instead of SHIB, thus preventing the concentration of funds in whales.
Ruoshi stressed that Shibarium needed to be decentralized, so that there was not a single point of failure.
Because Shiba Inu is an ERC-20 token built on the ETH blockchain, it also suffers from high fees.
Reducing transaction costs is essential for the growing ecosystem, which will include a gaming and nonfungible token. For this reason, the upcoming launch of Shibarium is considered one of the largest catalysts.
