The FTX crypto exchange will have its advertisement at the popular American sports event Super Bowl LVI, where it plans to reach sports fans.
Competitors are certainly taken aback
FTX exchange managed to secure an advertising space in one of the most watched events in America. Super Bowl will take place in February next year.
FTX bought the ad this year Super Bowl LVI to impress fans of the sport. The Super Bowl is – and always has been – one of the most watched television broadcasts of the year in the history of the United States.
Sam Bankman-Fried, the founder and CEO of FTX, has made American football one of the priorities in its marketing strategy. According to him, sport is the fastest growing customer community for adopting cryptocurrencies. “There is no major, mainstream event to share with our legacy and our brand, such as the Super Bowl,” says Fried.
The FTX explodes in your pocket
The price of the advertisement has not been published yet, but the estimate is approx $ 6.5 million. The price of a 30-second ad in 2021 was 5.5 million and the previous Super Bowl looked together more than 92 million viewers!
This year’s Super Bowl has seen a whole new trend on the part of those who are interested in such big ads. Traditional brands such as Hyundai, Pepsi and Budweiser were not interested in advertising, leaving room for newer players who they prospered much more during the pandemic.
FTX has become the official sponsor of Major League Baseball (MLB) in June this year and in March arranged for the home stadium of Miami Heat to be renamed FTX Arena for the next 19 years.
Coinbase also followed FTX’s steps in sponsoring sports, signing a multi-year partnership agreement with the NBA and WNBA.
