Meme token SHIB started rolling the internet a year ago and has since become one of the most famous cryptocurrencies. Even according to Google Trends, it is the most popular cryptocurrency in the United Kingdom.
There is a high level of interest in Shiba Inu not only in the UK, but also in Russia, France, Spain, Ukraine, Italy, Hungary and Switzerland. Despite the decline that has lasted for almost a year, this cryptocurrency meme still holds in top 20 cryptocurrencies by capitalization and by several other metrics, such as interest in buying and or search, is even at the level of giants such as BTC and ETH.
Why does SHIB have such a hype?
There is no known service beyond this cryptocurrency other than a small exchange. Last year’s hype was based solely on speculative moves and a strong community. Since its all-time high, this altcoin has fallen by more than 70% so far.
In the crypto world, there have been many similar projects in the past that have been shot down and then steadily declined until they were delisted. Until the developers start working on the project, the great fame of this cryptocurrency meme may soon be forgotten.
