Coinbase has announced that NFT holders will be able to view their collection directly through their browsers. This feature is presented as part of the company’s efforts to make it easier for users to interact with the world of crypto.
The new Coinbase Wallet tool will make it easier to interact with the NFT via a browser
The new tool is part of Coinbase Wallet, a separate service from one of the largest exchanges. Like its favorite competitor, MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet is designed to give users access to NFTs, DeFi applications and other elements of the emerging world of WebЗ.
Both MetaMask and Coinbase Wallet were originally in mobile applications, but eventually became available as browser extensions.
Coinbase Director Sid Coelho-Prabhu said in a blog post that the new NFT viewing tool would come to Coinbase Wallet in the coming days and suggested that users update their Chrome settings and activate the extension.
“With the Coinbase Wallet extension, users will be able to browse their NFT collection, see their attributes, and easily access popular NFT trading platforms such as OpenSea.”
This is the new NFT browser.
In parallel with this update, Coinbase is preparing to launch the NFT marketplace, which aims to compete with the OpenSea leader.
According to the company, the new platform will include social media functions and is expected to be launched by the end of this year. At the same time, Koelho-Prabhu offered another wallet feature that helps users monitor other networks where their token can be stored.
“Coinbase Wallet now displays a list of your tokens on all supported networks in one simple single view.
In addition to the assets stored on the Ethereum core network, the program will display the token in the Arbitrum, Avalanche, Binance Smart Chain, Phantom, Optimism, Polugon and xDai networks.”
