According to the latest data, the amount stolen from DeFi this year exceeds the total amount stolen for 2020 and 2021 combined. March of this year surpassed 2020 by more than 200 million US dollars. What do the other data show?

In just the first 4 months on 2022 we have passed the total amount lost in 2021 ($1.3B) and in 2020 ($516MM). https://t.co/jDohhaUYUN
March had the largest value of stolen DeFi at $ 719.2 million, more than $ 200 million more than in 2020. Such a high figure was mainly due to the abuse of the Ronin Network, where attackers stole $ 620 million.
“In 2022, we have tracked total misuse losses, hacks and fraud of approximately $ 1,673,902,809.”
In April, CertiK recorded 31 major incidents, equivalent to one leak a day. The analyst firm says April 2022 holds the record for the highest losses in dollar amounts in attacks on flash loans. Losses reached $ 301.4 million.
Conclusion
The number of fraudsters in the cryptocurrency industry is constantly growing. This number has been steadily rising since the start of the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic. The short existence of cryptocurrencies thus attracts confidants into the trap of fraudsters.
