More than 10 years after the original bitcoin code was released, a hidden messaged has just been identified in the crypto’s genesis block. The hidden message is said to be from the creator of bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto.
Bitcoin Genesis Block Hidden Message
The message found in the genesis block read thus:
“sknab roftuoliab dnoces fo knirb no rollecnahC 9002/naJ/30 semiT ehT”.
Nakamoto is quite known for his cryptic approach towards things. So this is generally not perceived to be something special, especially to experts who are used to his style of writing.
The message found in the genesis block has been identified to be a reversed text of an original message. According to experts examining the message found in the genesis block, it has been said that it took this long to identify the message basically because it is written in an encrypted hexadecimal format.
The Meaning of the Message
The message, when reversed, reads like the original message:
“The Times 03/Jan/2009 Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks”.
Analysts mentioned that the message is connected to the global financial crisis which shook the financial scene in 2008. At that time, several top standing government all over the world reached a conclusion that the best way out of the mess is to provide bailouts for their major financial institutions.
This approach by the government was greatly criticized then, as some experts were of the notion that the banking institutions were to blame for the financial crisis in the first instance.
As a result of this, one conclusion was then drawn between the message and what blockchain technology stands for: By creating bitcoin, one could say Nakamoto’s was providing a solution to avoid this from happening again.
Going by the current state of thing in the financial world, it is quite obvious he was right.
