Cathie Wood, CEO of Ark Invest, recently spoke about the market outlook. In an interview with Yahoo Finance, a financial expert said that the future looks bright for the world of cryptocurrencies. He disagrees with investor John Paulson’s recent criticism of BTC and cryptocurrencies, arguing that the greatest cryptocurrencies in this digital age are overcoming gold as a store of value.
“What we (Ark Investment) think annoys him about cryptocurrencies is that they are much more than a store of value or digital gold. BTC is a new global monetary system that is completely decentralized and not subject to the whims of legislators. “
A few days ago, Paulson said that in his opinion, cryptocurrencies would eventually go to zero
“I will have a lot of critics, but I don’t think you should invest in cryptocurrencies. In the end, I think that cryptocurrencies, no matter where they are traded today, whether they go up or down, will ultimately prove worthless. “
Cathie Wood believes we’re far from a bubble
Wood also spoke about her investments in Coinbase and Robinhood, two of the leading regulated exchanges in the United States.
She first said that Robinhood’s transition to cryptocurrencies has proved very positive for the exchange’s business model, and while the SEC may be trying to exercise more control, it does not expect any adverse changes in the near future that should alert investors.
She also emphasized how satisfied she was with her investment in Coinbase. This is the only publicly traded cryptocurrency exchange and can be taken as a benchmark for compliance in general.
According to Cathie Wood, markets are not in a bubble. She believes that cryptocurrencies are a generational phenomenon and that cryptocurrencies only grow with the development of technology. She is sure that the current bull run is far from over and she mentioned predictions that mention at least 10 years of general growth:
“Are we in a bubble? We couldn’t stay away from that. The average investor does not understand how provocative these next five to 15 years will be, because the S curves complement each other and enter into exponential growth trajectories like we have never seen before. “
Cathie Wood is not a cyberpunk and does not want to overthrow the current financial system. On the contrary, it promotes precise regulation as a fundamental factor in the growth of cryptocurrency adoption at the global level. According to her, regulations are a good thing. Nevertheless, they argue that the fundamental problem is the lack of agreement between the various regulators.
“If the regulators come together and agree, it will be good. Security will be a good thing for this ecosystem. “
