Bratz NFT dolls

In a press release issued today, Animoca Brands announced that the famous Bratz doll series will soon be available as NFTs.

In order to do so, Animoca Brands has obtained a licence from MGA Entertainment Inc. to create and publish both games related to the famous dolls and a series of NFTs (Non Fungible Tokens).

The world’s most famous dolls

The Bratz world was born in 2001 by the group MGA Entertainment, Inc, and over time this brand has achieved great success around the world, which has allowed it to expand into other areas such as an animated series, movies, live action and more for the small and big screen.

In addition, a Bratz Challenge was launched last year in which fans were invited to put on make-up and replicate the likeness of their favourite dolls. This challenge generated over 100,000 posts and millions of views on YouTube relating to these video challenges.

The NFTs of Bratz dolls

As for the NFTs that will be created by Animoca Brands, it appears that they will be based on the WAX blockchain, which uses the EOS.io software, so there is a complete change of ledger from the classic Ethereum blockchain that everyone is familiar with.

The NFTs will go on sale on December 22nd as part of the Bratz Card Sale campaign, so users will be able to buy “digital figurines” of their favourite dolls.

Animoca Brands already includes famous brands such as Formula 1, MotoGP and even Atari with its console that will allow users to play not only traditional games but also innovative blockchain-based games such as the Bratz one, among others.
