The former head of TikTok Gaming, Jason Fung, announced this July 5th the launch of his new ‘startup’ in blockchain gaming. According to Fung, the new company called MetaO, aims at further evolution of video games with the use of blockchain technology.

Fung also communicated that his resignation from TikTok born from the desire to create lasting solutions for video game development.

In other words, the executive plans to bring positive changes to this technology through his education and experience in the gaming industry.

Solving “problems” in the NFT gaming industry

Fung provided an interview and stated that he left TikTok to deal with some issues in the NFT gaming industry.

The former TikTok executive pointed out that there is no proper blockchain infrastructure for developers to easily access, meaning an open opportunity to override their tech skills.

In Fung’s plans, it must first ensure the expansion of MetaO and the formation of the right and suitable ecosystem for game developers.

After the expansion, the challenge will be to target fundraising campaigns and facilitate profitable collaborations.

MetaO solutions

MetaO is committed to creating interoperability for the blockchain gaming industry in the coming months.

For this, MetaO will be able to connect to several blockchains, providing several options to operate efficiently.

However, the success of the project will depend on some factors such as:

  1. Greater adoption of NFT games in different countries.

  2. A market recovery in the coming months.

  3. Greater accessibility of the population to this new technology.
