Kevin O’Leary of Shark Tank fame is now an official spokesperson for crypto exchange FTX and will be paid in cryptocurrency. In addition, he will also be receiving equity stake in both FTX Trading Ltd. and West Realm Shires Services Inc.
O’Leary stated that he would like to increase his crypto exposure while also remaining compliant to the regulations. He noted that the rapidly shifting compliance and tax reporting requirements has made the current cryptocurrency ecosystem too risky for comfort.
It is for the sake of finding crypto investment opportunities that met his high standards of compliance that he decided to enter into this relationship with FTX.
