The web browser Opera announced this Tuesday the integration of the MetaMask cryptocurrency wallet – one of the most popular on the market. Furthermore, the team reported that it has launched a wallet selection feature within the crypto browser, the “Wallet Selector”. According to the announcement, the tool will allow users to quickly and easily switch between its various wallet extensions. In this way, you will be able to manage assets and access dApps much more efficiently.
As Opera Crypto Lead Susie Batt has pointed out, creating a crypto-focused browser is an achievement of the company in providing the tools that enable open access to Web 3.0.
“Not only have we provided a gateway to Web3, but we’ve also simplified many of the everyday processes native to the crypto space that once confused the average web user. Opera Crypto Browser is currently the best and most comprehensive portal on the Web3 for both new and experienced users,” he said.
Wallet Selector
As said, one of the updates announced by Opera is a “wallet picker”. The tool aims to make the process of switching between portfolios easier, facilitating the management of digital assets. According to the announcement, users will be able to choose their wallet directly from the browser’s address bar.
In addition to Opera’s native wallet, there is support for MetaMask, TrustWallet and several other wallets based on the standard EVM Web3 interface.
Wallet Selector saves users’ preferences making Crypto Browser more user-friendly to navigate the crypto world.
In addition to the wallet selector, Opera reported that it is adding some security improvements. The idea is to protect users from hacks and phishing attacks. The phishing detection feature, for example, prevents the user from entering websites that are on the restricted list.
Crypto Corner tweets
According to the company, the list of updates also includes a review of Crypto Corner, a current news service about the crypto market.
According to Opera, Crypto Corner will now display the most relevant tweets so users can stay on top of trading on the market.
PancakeSwap Integration
Finally, Opera reported that it has integrated PancakeSwap into its native Crypto Browser wallet. This allows users to trade tokens from within the wallet without having to connect to an external dApp first. In addition, Opera has partnered with Dapp Radar:
“If and when you need to connect to a dApp, however, we’ve also partnered with Dapp Radar to provide access to over 11,000,” the company said.
Opera’s Crypto Browser provides access to multiple blockchain networks, including ETH, BTC, Polygon, BNB and others, as well as tens of thousands of dApps and protocols built on top of them.
