Playboy announced this a new partnership with The Sandbox, aiming at the construction of the “MetaMansion”.
This new partnership continues the trend of large companies from different areas, which seem to be working to reach a new type of audience within the metaverse.
Playboy is a brand known for its content and products for adults, currently the company has been operating for almost 70 years and has a market value of over $0,28 billion, with its magazines being published in more than 150 countries.

What is Playboy’s MetaMansion?
MetaMansion will be a new virtual space within The Sandbox, where users will be able to enjoy games and interact live with others through their avatars and digital collections.
Playboy launched its first NFT collection titled Liquid Summer in the year 2021, comprised of digital artwork that represented the boldness of the recognized brand for adults.
Rachel Webber, Director of Brand and Strategy at Playboy, said she is delighted to be working with the team at The Sandbox to create a premium, personalized experience within the metaverse.
However, no information has yet been given as to when it will be available to visit Playboy’s MetaMansion.
Playboy transcends generations
Sebastien Borget, co-founder of The Sandbox commented that Playboy is an iconic brand for its charm, lifestyle and entertainment content that transcends generations and has already entered Web3 with initial success.
In addition, Borget also reported that The Sandbox plans to bring Playboy’s rich content archive to the metaverse and bring the brand’s particularities to all its users.
