Crypto is coming out of the shadows. Not so long ago it was the preserve of some of the darker corners of the internet, traded and talked about by a hard core of geeks, hackers, rogues and yes, visionaries.
Those days are long gone. Crypto is everywhere and new followers are flocking to its banner every day. As the current bull run continues to gather steam, interest in and adoption of crypto by people from across the world is exploding and, despite their best efforts, there’s nothing the powers that be can do to stop it.
You might be a crypto OG, still hodling those bitcoins you bought in 2014, or a newbie trying to figure out why anyone would use Coinbase. Chances are you’re somewhere in between. Whatever you are, you’re part of the crypto community and that’s something to be celebrated.
After all, you’re on the path to financial freedom, stepping away from the world of dirty fiat and taking matters into your own hands. If that’s not something to shout about, then we here at Coin Bureau don’t know what is.
But how do you celebrate your membership of the crypto club? How do you show your allegiance to your favourite coin or project beyond simply being an investor? And, most importantly of all, how do you spread the word among the uninitiated?
Yes, you can go on any number of Reddit forums and swap posts with your fellow travellers. You can watch Guy’s videos on YouTube and get busy in the comments.  But this is preaching to the converted. The best way to show some love and spread the word is to get crypto out there into the big, wide world. Yes, it’s time to get your merch on.
Once upon a time, there weren’t that many options if you wanted a BTC t-shirt, or any other piece of crypto-themed merchandise for that matter. Not anymore. As crypto’s popularity heads moonward, more and more merch is hitting the web and there’s now a whole lotta choice out there. So much in fact, that it can all seem a little overwhelming.
That’s why the team here at the Coin Bureau has been sitting down and choosing our favourite bits of crypto merch to share with you. With so much out there it can be difficult to know where to look and, let’s face it, there’s good and bad to be had. So, whether you’re looking to treat yourself, or trying to find the perfect gift to bring someone special a little post-Christmas cheer, we got you covered with our top 10 best bits of crypto merch for the year ahead.
1: Coin Bureau Hoodies
Okay, Okay, so we’re shamelessly kicking things off with some of our own swag, as modelled by the man himself on our channel. You have to admit though, they look pretty damn swish. This range of hoodies has been brought out especially to help drive away the winter blues that us folks here in the Northern hemisphere are experiencing right now. Thanks to these cosy little numbers, it’s now possible to walk the frozen streets and spread the gospel of crypto at the same time.
The hoodies are made from a mixture of organic cotton and recycled polyester, which gives them a beautifully soft feel, as well as keeping the cold out. There’s a range of prints available and new designs are being added all the time. All of Coin Bureau’s merch sales go towards supporting the channel, helping to keep our content top-quality and ad-free. There’s perhaps no better way of sticking it to the Man and looking fly all at the same time.
These hoodies have recently made their debut on our merch site and the channel and they’re attracting a whole load of attention. Get them while they’re hot and the weather’s cold.
2: Coin Bureau T-shirts
Let’s face it, there’s any number of crypto-related t-shirts out there, ranging from the good to the bad, via the indifferent. When we were designing our range of Coin Bureau t-shirts, we wanted them to stand out from the crowd. It’s also a little-known fact that Guy himself is incredibly fussy when it comes to what he wears in his videos.
(This may sound hard to believe, but trust me, it’s true). He was firmly attached to the classic Coin Bureau logo t-shirt and rejected several other designs that were suggested. He then took it upon himself to design some himself – and these are the ones you’ll see in his videos and on our merch site. A man of many talents.
These t-shirts are 100% organic cotton and feature a range of artworks on the front, with the Coin Bureau logo on the back of the neck. More recently, Guy has become less of a control freak and opened himself up to the idea of collaborating with digital artist Magusz on the Buy the Dip design featured above. It’s rumoured that more collaborations may be in the pipeline, so keep your eyes peeled.
It just wouldn’t be right if the only way to buy any of our Coin Bureau merchandise was with dirty fiat. That’s why we give you the option of paying with BTC and ETH too if you want an exclusively crypto experience.
3: BTC Poster
Remember the classic Obama artwork by artist Shepard Fairey that was everywhere back in 2008? The posters featured a picture of the man himself, above words including ‘hope’, ‘change’ and ‘progress’. Obama may have been and gone from the White House but those words now seem even more applicable to bitcoin. That’s why we love this poster from artist Quote Artisan that mirrors Fairey’s famous colour scheme and is a must for any discerning hodler.
The posters come in a range of sizes and finishes, to suit whichever space you have that’s just crying out for a bit of classy crypto artwork.
It’s impossible to know when we’ll all be able to have friends round once again (remember that?) but when we do, you’ll want to have this little number on prominent display.
4: Decred Jacket
Do not adjust your set. Try and contain yourself. This baby is for real and is an official piece of Decred merchandise, available solely through Crypto Emporium. Now, Decred may not be the most well-known crypto project going (#51 on CoinMarketCap at the time of writing), but if it keeps producing merch like this it’s going to go stratospheric. It’s 95% polyester, 5% spandex and, well… just look at it. Suffice to say, this is not for the shrinking violets out there.
Crypto Emporium lives up to its name and if you want to own this little number then you’ll have to pay in crypto. They accept BTC, ETH, LTC, XVG (Verge), XRP, DASH and, of course, DCR.
The site lets you buy a whole load of things with crypto, including iPhones and even property, but in reality nobody here at the Coin Bureau can see past this dazzler.
5: 21 Hodl artwork
The Coin Bureau team tend to have differing views on almost everything, but we’re unanimous in our appreciation for the work of 21 Hodl, an artist whose mission is to ‘use art to let people know how polluted our economic system is.’ Amen to that.
There’s a whole load of designs on 21 Hodl’s site to check out, mostly themed around BTC, which the artist declares to be the only crypto worth owning. Each piece also comes with a certificate by Verisart, a certification service which uses blockchain to create secure and immutable certificates of authenticity for artists and their work.
Verisart aims to ‘increase trust and liquidity in the global art market by bringing transparency and uniformity to the identification of artworks and collectibles.’ So, if you order artwork from 21 Hodl, or any other artist working with Verisart, you can be sure that the piece is genuine and securely registered in your name. Art, bitcoin and blockchain all coming together as one. Beautiful.
By the way, if you’re an artist yourself and fancy working with us here at the Bureau, then why not get in touch with us to talk about a collaboration? We’re always on the lookout for new talent to work with and promote and we’d love to hear from likeminded creatives.
Contact details can be found in the About section of our YouTube channel. Who knows, maybe Guy himself could soon be squeezing himself into one of your designs…
6: Logos and Icons Tapestry
It’s not easy being a student these days. Many are having to learn from home, while others have found themselves quarantined and forced to socially distance while trying to embark upon what should be one of life’s great adventures at university. Snogging twenty strangers and drinking alcohol by the bucketload just ain’t on the menu anymore.
You can be sure though that the current generation of students is easily the most tech-savvy that there’s ever been and as such, they’ll appreciate this achingly of-the-moment wall hanging that features a ton of developer, open-source project and web giant icons. It’s the sort of piece you can find yourself looking at for hours on end, whether you’re under the influence or not.
Some of the icons (Facebook, Google Chrome) will be familiar to anyone born after 1960, while others are a little more obscure. There’s almost certainly some sort of drinking game to be invented that involves naming as many as you can, or maybe that’s just me showing how deeply out of touch I really am. What can I say, it’s been a while since I was a student and I don’t remember much of it.
This tapestry (or wall-hanging if that’s your preferred term) is printed on lightweight polyester and is an ideal addition to any Gen-Z’ers wall, whether they’ve decamped to uni or not. It comes in a range of sizes and is machine-washable in case any of those illegal gatherings get out of hand.
7: Crypto Mug
For any self-respecting crypto afficionado, the day starts with a look at how the portfolio is doing, along with a glance at the news to see if anything untoward has happened in the markets while you’ve been asleep. All well and good and no doubt accompanied by a reviving cup of coffee (or tea if you’re British).
Now ask yourself, wouldn’t that whole experience feel just a little more authentic if that steaming beverage was brewed up in a mug with your favourite crypto’s logo emblazoned on the side? There’s an air about it of starting the day off on the right foot, in this humble hodler’s opinion.
There are a ton of crypto-themed mugs out there and hey, a mug is a mug. That said, the preference among the Coin Bureau team is for the simpler, more elegant designs. We’re not big fans of those cheesy I might look like I’m listening to you but in my head I’m trading cryptos-type of nonsense.
The one pictured above is a big favourite of ours, along with this Ethereum number from Redbubble and this funky Monero design, available from Etsy. My personal favourite, which holds 15oz of the finest Earl Grey as I type, is this bitcoin bomber design available from Crypto Shopper. Milk and two sugars, please.
8: Ethereum to the Moon Pillow
If you’re like me, then chances are you’ve been spending rather a lot of time at home of late. Quite a few people I know have not taken this enforced isolation well and have reacted by doing all sorts of crazy things. One couple decided to redecorate every room in their house. Several friends are now dog owners and will not shut up about it. One old friend and his wife even went seriously crazy and had a baby. It’s not been pretty.
It’s probably fair to say that most people stuck at home for weeks on end have taken some steps to beautify their surroundings, though perhaps not to the extent of a total home makeover (at least, I really hope not).
But there’s nothing wrong with making your home that little bit cosier, especially when the weather outside does not fill one with joy. That’s why this piece of soft furnishing is an entirely proportionate step to take. Double it up with a classy crypto mug of tea and suddenly lockdown doesn’t seem nearly so bad after all.
It’s available from The Crypto Merch, who also do a whole load of other products, including some not easily found elsewhere. So, if a Zilliqa polo shirt is what’s missing from your life, well then, you’re welcome.
9: Crypto Socks and Swimwear
T-shirts and hoodies are all well and good, but what happens when the sun finally comes out again and you want to get some sunbathing done? If this is the sort of question that has you lying awake at night then the wonderfully eccentric Olympian Bitcoin Store is here to help. Along with the more commonly-found pieces of merch, this lot also do a range of BTC-themed bikinis, socks and even sandals for those already planning their summer holidays.
This gem of a site is a great place to go to find some more unusual items of merch with designs you won’t find elsewhere. They accept payment in BTC, ETH and LTC, as well as XMR and ZEC, among others. You can also pay with PayPal and other fiat options.
As well as bikinis and sandals, you can also treat yourself to a BTC accessory pouch and a beware the whales bathmat which, quite frankly, no bathroom should be without. Olympian Bitcoin Store deserves an honourable mention for catering towards female crypto fans – a group that is often neglected.
This is to be applauded and I for one can’t decide if I’m more excited by the thought of a holiday in the sun or the prospect of meeting the woman of my dreams clad in a BTC bikini. Watch this space.
10: Bitcoin Ice and Baking Mould
Picture the scene: it’s summer 2025 and you’ve decided to cash out your gains, having seen BTC reach $500,000. To celebrate, you’re throwing a party by the pool at the swish new mansion you’ve bought in the Caribbean and all your friends are coming. You’re not the type to brag about how you got to where you are, but you want to pay homage to the digital gold that brought you there. What on earth can you do?
Well, if it were me (and I sure hope it will be someday), then I would not be able to resist handing my friends a crisp gin and tonic with a few BTC-branded ice cubes floating in it. A small, subtle way of showing them just how all the luxury and splendour has been paid for and an oh-so-gentle dig at those who said bitcoin was a scam and I’d end up losing all my money. Who’s laughing now, eh?
The Crypto Cove has a whole load of weird and (sometimes) wonderful crypto-related merch, but this ice cube and cookie-making set could well be the most satisfying $10 you’ve ever spent. Just try not to rub the no-coiners’ noses in it too hard.
Talk the Talk & Walk the Walk
There’s so much crypto merch out there we couldn’t include here, so do delve deeper if you want to find the piece you’re after. Pretty much all the major cryptos (and a lot of the more obscure ones) have merchandise of some kind out there, so if it’s a Tron mug you’re after or Digibyte cufflinks then don’t despair.
The Coin Bureau merch store is expanding by popular demand and we’ve got tons of exciting products and designs in the works. And remember, whether you’re drinking your morning coffee from a BTC mug, or rocking a Decred spangly jacket on your way to work, you’re doing your bit to advance the cause of crypto and make the world that little bit better. Good on you.
