The cryptocurrency market has not had a very promising start to the year. After all, the main crypto-assets on the market dropped dramatically in the year.

Pulled by the drop in BTC and ETH, virtually all of the top 100 cryptocurrencies on the market are far below their all-time high.

Despite having partially recovered, BTC still accumulates a drop of more than 30% of its ATH. Thus, it has been “delaying” a new high in the crypto market.

However, despite the poor performance of the market as a whole, 6 cryptocurrencies stood out in 2022. They were the only ones to accumulate a positive result for the year.

6 cryptocurrencies that have gone up

UNUS SED LEO (LEO) stands out in the list. The price of Bitfinex exchange token has jumped just over 50% this year. After starting the year at $3.77 per unit, the token is now trading on exchanges for $5.76.

Other cryptocurrencies that rose in the year were Secret (SCRT), Theta Fuel (TFUEL) and BORA.

In blockchain Secret, users can create and use apps “that are permissionless and preserve privacy”.

Secret (SCRT) therefore protects users and applications. Its purpose is to allow users to control how their data is viewed and used.

Theta Fuel (TFUEL) is one of two native tokens on the Theta blockchain. TFUEL serves as a utility token in the decentralized delivery of video and data. Furthermore, it acts as a GAS token, just like ETH.

Meanwhile, BORA is a platform designed to solve current industry problems by distributing games and digital content, and promoting user interaction using dual blockchain structure and proprietary token mechanism.

Finally, the other two cryptoassets with appreciation in the year are linked to exchanges. One is derivatives platform token FTX, up more than 14%; the other is HT, token from Asian exchange Huobi (5%).
