The HP Pavilion DV6-1230US 15.6-inch laptop has one of the best values that you will ever find. For a modest price tag, you get powerful specs, a great feature set and a beautifully designed laptop. What else can you ask for.

The HP Pavilion DV6-1230US 15.6-inch laptop uses a 2.1Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo T6500 processor. For storage, it has a 320 hard drive and a 4GB RAM. The RAM can be upgrade to a maximum of 8GB. This model also comes with the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500 MHD graphics card.

As for its design, the HP Pavilion DV6-1230US 15.6-inch laptop is one stylish laptop. It is predominantly black in color (glossy surface), decorated with some white circular motifs. It measures at 14.9 x 10.15 x 1.33 inches. Overall, this is one of my favorite HP laptop designs as it manages to be subtle with a hint of distinctiveness.

The 15.6″ screen has a 1366 x 768 resolution. That is pretty good for a laptop of this price. Coupled with the competent graphics card, watching HD videos and playing games on this laptop was a pleasurable experience. Another distinctive feature of this model is its battery. Instead of the regular 6-cell batteries, the HP Pavilion DV6-1230US 15.6-inch laptop uses a 12-cell battery, giving a slightly longer battery lifespan.

Thanks to its powerful processor and ample RAM, the HP Pavilion DV6-1230US 15.6-inch laptop is definitely no pushover when it comes to speed and performance. The startup was quick and we had no problems running several ‘heavy’ applications at the same time. It has been almost 2 months, since we got this model and so far, we could barely find any serious cons to this model. Currently, this model retails for around $733, a great bargain considering its specs and performance.
