Minecraft acquires Web З.0 integration
NFT Worlds is a metaverse project created on Minecraft servers with a twist based on the Polygon network. Minecraft software is open source and can be used by anyone with technical know-how. In 2021, the game had 141 million active users.
The project also demonstrated in-game purchases using the WRLD token: a simple WRLD store was built in one of the worlds to purchase Apple. In a separate tweet, it was announced that this feature will be launched soon and will come with low fees.
In-game $WRLD purchasing, transactions & the P2E $WRLD layer will be rolling out soon. Completely frictionless, no gas required to spend/transact $WRLD in an NFT World.

The developers of NFT Worlds are not officially affiliated with Microsoft, and the company currently allows them to create modes and add them to the Minecraft ecosystem.
