1 min readFacebook users are reporting issues with photos not loading within the app.
People have been unable to view albums, both on their own feeds and those of their friends and families.
Facebook displays a message saying “can’t connect” when you try to view posts with multiple images.
One Twitter user tweeted Facebook saying: “There is a problem with the feed. Clicking on photos in a post is bringing up grey screens. This is happening when I view my posts from my profile and when I try to view the photos on groups and my friends.”
Hundreds of others have reported the same problem.
It is currently unclear what has caused the issue, and Facebook is yet to respond to it. i has contacted Facebook for comment.
A troubleshooting page on the Facebook site offers this advice, however, it appears to be limited to desktop: “If you can’t see photos on Facebook and you’re seeing black boxes, empty boxes or broken images instead, you can try updating your browser.
“For videos, you can try updating your internet browser and installing the latest version of Adobe flash player.
“If that doesn’t work, please use the ‘Report a Problem’ link on your account to let us know more about what you’re seeing when you try to view a video.”
