Neflix: Trust No One: The Hunt for the Crypto King
An online giant for streaming video states in tweet that it will broadcast an investigative documentary entitled “Trust No One: The Hunt for the Crypto King”.
“Watch a group of investors who have become detectives trying to clarify the suspicious death of cryptocurrency multimillionaire Gerry Cotten.”
The documentary focuses on Gerald Cotten, founder and CEO of QuadrigaCX, Canada’s largest cryptocurrency exchange two years ago.
Cotten, a Canadian, died in December 2018 on a honeymoon in India, but his death was not announced until January 2019. The CEO of QuadrigaCX was reportedly the only one who had the private keys needed to access crypto assets in exchange at the time of his death. they were estimated to be worth $ 145 million.
Cotten’s sudden death in a foreign land and the disappearance of millions of dollars’ worth of cryptocurrencies led to conspiracy theories that included the suspicion that Cotten might have pretended his death.
A report by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation quoted Cotten’s widow, who denied the theory, in May and said through her lawyer that “she was with Mr. Cotten at the time of his death and he is certainly dead.”
Other widely discussed theories include that his wife may have had her fingers in his death
QuadrigaCX went bankrupt shortly after Cotten’s death, and by May the amount recovered for the payment of approximately 76,000 creditors totaled $ 36,357,894.
