Iran has approved Bitcoin mining at its power plants
Iran has announced that will allow the operation of industrial power plants in the country to extract bitcoins – provided they do not use subsidized fuel. Mostafa Rajabi Mashhadi, Deputy General Manager of Tavaniro, an Iranian electricity, transmission and distribution company, said the country’s power plants could operate for BTC “as long as they meet approved tariffs” and have the necessary licenses.

Russia’s crypto scams have tripled in the last half of 2020
Cyber security companies saw an exponential increase in cryptocurrency scams in Russia in the first half of 2020. Researchers have identified 23,000 crypto fraud sites that are still online and targeting new victims. According to Kommersant, who quoted research from Kaspersky Labs, the problem is three times bigger than in the same period last year.
