Independent studio Boss Cannon has announced their upcoming play-to-earn-style blockchain card battle game, Wrejects.
According to the announcement, the game will be available for desktop and mobile. Additionally, the team announced an airdrop on March 15.
Boss Cannon is an independent studio made up of illustrators, product designers and videographers. Its purpose is to create and develop games, as well as other products aimed at the metaverse.
In this sense, the studio’s new project is a card battle game where there are unique warriors, each with their own strengths, weaknesses and special abilities.
The game takes place on the planet of Pakhanti, where corporations fight for ownership of the ultra-rare and valuable Painium ($PAIN), the game’s native token.
Meanwhile, for entertainment, the inhabitants of Pakhanti resort to wrestling held in the planet’s prison. Wrestlers fight to become the next Wrejects Galactic Wrestling League champion.
In the game, players will manage their NFT characters and fight for Painium. The team further said that it plans a hero rental system that should allow free-to-play users to play the game and NFT owners to generate passive income.
The “early adopters” (pioneers) will own land on which they can stake and mine $PAIN tokens.
At this stage, there isn’t much more detail on the “play to win” mechanics of the game’s tokenomics. The release of the alpha version is planned for the second quarter of 2022. The release of the full game is planned for 2023.
As the team announced, there will be an airdrop on March 15th and a first NFT release on March 31st. Those interested in early access and being a part of the event can register with their email address at wrejects.com. They will then receive instructions on how to participate.
