Rollercoin, the BTC mining simulator

2 min read

Rollercoin

Rollercoin is an online game based on the simulation of BTC mining.

In fact, in this game users compete against each other by simulating BTC mining.

Basically, players have to try to manage their simulated mining farm in order to mine as many BTC as possible.

After all, real BTC mining itself is a competition, except that it requires large investments, a high dose of risk, and rather sophisticated skills. Rollercoin, on the other hand, gives players the chance to try their hand at BTC mining in a simulated way, without having to invest, but still testing their BTC mining skills by completing missions, undertaking tasks and building their own mining empire.

On the official website, the game’s creators state:

“Basically, we have cut out the hard stuff and kept the amusement”.

How to play RollerCoin and “mine” BTC

The goal of the players is to build and develop their own mining data centre, making upgrades and modifications to increase computing power and compete with other players.

Registration is quick and easy using an email address or Facebook account. Players create their own personalized RollerCoin characters, and start interacting with side quests, activities and mini-games to increase their mining power: the more they accumulate, the higher their share of the pool.

The player will also have to deal with some of the classic obstacles of real mining, such as repairing their farm, electricity bills, rent, air-conditioning costs, and so on.

Every ten minutes, a block of BTC is allocated, and all active players receive a share, depending on their computing power.

In addition, special contests and promotions are constantly organized to reward hardworking miners.

The game allows players to earn satoshis (the smallest unit of BTC), and of course, withdraw them to proprietary wallets. It also allows the withdrawal of earned rewards in ETH or DOGE.
