The Sandbox, one of the most famous metaverses in the crypto universe, has released a roadmap for landowners on its digital reality platform.
The new roadmap brings advantages and benefits that landowners receive. In the document, The Sandbox expressed its intention to grow and build the metaverse in a participatory way with its users.
The roadmap indicates that there will be the distribution of several resources and a prize of US$ 5 million in SAND. Additionally, land owners will be given higher priority than other players in The Sandbox’s upcoming Alpha Season 3.
Land owners can stake SAND per LAND, earning up to 90% in return. A total of $10 million in SAND was allocated just for staking Landowners.
Additionally, it has been revealed that upcoming land sales at The Sandbox will feature collaborations with Paris Hilton, Ubisoft, Warner Music Group, and Gucci.
The Sandbox is one of the blockchain-powered virtual worlds currently under development. The metaverse consists of customizable terrain with voxel-based entities. Visually, it resembles many Minecraft players, as both games have this Lego-inspired look.
However, players can buy virtual land and implement any form of monetization. Thus, these virtual lands can become mini-games, adventures, virtual stores, extensions of real virtual stores, a space for social gatherings, and so on.
The Sandbox provides free tools for developers, gamers and content creators. Creators can use VoxEdit to create voxel-based objects for use in the game. And with Game Maker users can make all kinds of interactive experiences.
The Sandbox will also create a meta-game experience. Players can, for example, do daily or weekly quests for their guild.
This will give players SAND, which they can sell or use to buy in-game items or virtual land.
