The Sandbox launches a collection of NFTs to celebrate 40 years of the Care Bears

Care Bears are one of the most popular toys in the world, especially for those born in the 1980s and 1990s. They were not just a TV series, but a game for video games, books, party themes, t-shirts and a plethora of other things.

However, the years passed and the famous teddy bears remained in the memory of children and young people, but disappeared from the media and changes in technology. Yet.

Fans have a new way to own their favorite cuddly companions – virtually through the Care Bear metaverse inside The Sandbox.

In September 2020, The Sandbox announced a partnership with the franchise and now the first avatars have been announced.

The famous cuddly bears will be integrated into the LANDS in The Sanbox’s metaverse. In addition, there will be a minigame within the metaverse in which the teddy bears will be protagonists.

Care Bears

Players will be able to explore a virtual setting called “Care-a-Lot” that will have a Care Bears themed environment, attractions, games and buildings to interact with.

Additionally, players can meet and chat in the Care-a-Lot world using their The Sandbox avatars, as well as play together with the cuddly bears.

In celebration of the Care Bears’ 40th anniversary, The Sandbox is releasing 29 NFTs that the community can use to create their own game.

The sale will start with Care-a-lot Bear, which will be the first NFT in the series.

Next will be Tenderheart Bear, Wish Bear, Harmony Bear, Bedtime Bear, Love-A-Lot Bear, Do-Your-Best Bear, True Heart Bear, Heartsong Bear, Take Care Bear, Work of Heart Bear, Secret Bear , Laugh-A-Lot Bear.

Finally, bears will also be released: Smart Heart Bear, Daydream Bear, Always There Bear, Champ Bear, Best Friend Bear, Friend Bear, Superstar Bear and Birthday Bear
